A permanent, entry-level role to work alongside a pest control technician/operator to determine the best treatment for pest control and ensure the highest quality of service is delivered to the customer. The assistant is responsible for inspections, treatments, trap setting, equipment maintenance, record-keeping, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist pest control technician with inspections and treatments.
• Help set traps, apply treatments, and carry out pest prevention strategies.
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment.
• Keep basic records of work completed.
• Follow strict health and safety guidelines.
• Interact professionally with clients when on-site.

Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12.
• Certification: P-Registration with the Department of Agriculture.
• Experience: At least 1 – 2 years of Pest Control Assistant experience (essential).
• Technical Skills: Computer-literate.
• Availability: Able to work flexible hours and overtime.
• License & Travel: Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.
• Skills & Attributes:
• Good understanding and knowledge of the Pest Control Industry and service orientation.
• Logical thinker, strategic, and organized.
• Ability to solve problems efficiently and be proactive in identifying potential problems.
• Attention to detail.
• Customer-centric.
